Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Engineer to join our team. As an R&D Engineer at Boston Scientific, you will have the opportunity to work on complex engineering projects, developing new technology, products, materials, processes, or equipment with minimal supervision. You will independently develop, direct, and execute plans for major segments of complex projects, compiling and analyzing operational, test, and research data to establish technical specifications for designing or modifying products, processes, and materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sustaining projects for IC/PI products, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Selects techniques to solve complex problems and make sound design recommendations.
- Summarizes, analyzes, and draws conclusions from complex test results.
- Designs and prepares complex reports to communicate results to the technical community.
- C coordinates, manages, and documents project goals and progress and recommends appropriate revisions.
- Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluation tests, products, or equipment.
- Interfaces with physicians/cath lab personnel to obtain feedback on concepts and performance of new devices.
- Translates customer needs into product requirements and design specifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- More than 5 years of experience in a related field.
- English language proficiency level: 80-89% or above.
- Licenciature in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Biomedical, or related fields.
- Master's degree desirable.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Technical and clinical knowledge.
- Networking skills.
- Design control methods such as Risk Analysis (dFMEA, pFMEA).
- Design, Validation, and Verification plans, protocol, and report generation.
- Medical Devices Industry experience.
- PDP/TDP System knowledge.
- Preferred Project management skills.
