The role of Scrum Master is ideal for a Senior practitioner managing Agile methodologies.

Job Description

This role involves championing the agile team to work efficiently and manage the system of working within the Build Team and beyond.

You will support our product development team to deliver value to our customers and clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as an Agilist using Scrum and Kanban and other agile techniques to improve team effectiveness and deliver value iteratively at team, product domain, and Agile portfolio levels.
  • Enabling the team to increase its autonomy.
  • Helping the team remove impediments.
  • Helping with the organization and adoption of Scrum.
  • Working closely with the organization teams to ensure technical delivery plans are aligned with broader business change plans and collaborating with business stakeholders to ensure priorities and deliveries are clear.
  • Facilitating communication and providing constant feedback between teams.
  • Generating and monitoring agile team metrics.
  • Providing reports to senior management.
  • Organizing the rites and ensuring their execution (planning, refining, daily, and retro/demo).
  • Conducting agile ceremonies.
  • Assisting the P.O. in the organization of demands.
  • Facilitating communication between the technical team and the product owner.
  • Developing, supporting, and optimizing Agile Lifecycle Management tooling (e.g., Jira/Confluence) to provide automated tooling solutions to deliver scaled agile solutions that empower teams and provide insight at team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Agile Teams.
  • Minimum of 7-8 years working in IT Teams such as IT Applications, networking, database, or IT infrastructure.
  • Experience on IT infrastructure servers (Windows, Linux, and cloud).
  • Manage concepts of Virtual Machines running on VMware (desired).
  • Driving with agile teams (Scrum and Kanban).
  • Manage Agile metrics (Throughput, Lead Time, and Velocity).
  • Experience of analytics tools.
  • Experience balancing multiple priorities, dealing with other teams, and able to follow up tasks and resource assignments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to connect with people.
  • Ability to coach and mentor the team and wider business to create a safe and open environment where teams can succeed.
  • Information Technology University degree (desired).
  • Good knowledge of Agile concepts and methodologies.
  • Scrum Master certification is a must.
