About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Lead to join our Design Studios team at Boston Consulting Group. As a Design Lead, you will be responsible for leading, guiding, and mentoring a team of designers in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee design projects from concept to completion, ensuring that all deadlines are met and clients are satisfied with the quality of the final result.
  • Develop and execute creative briefs that capture the business challenge, set timelines, and communicate with clients.
  • Conceptualize and ideate creative solutions, support all design decisions with creative, strategic, and/or business reasoning, and present creative concepts and discuss ideas with internal clients.
  • Drive the execution of design projects by leading the Design team, working in partnership with key stakeholders, and managing the production and process of all assets for case and proposal work.
  • Lead, manage, and oversee multiple creative projects at a time, including building ad hoc teams, ensuring that all deadlines are met, providing guidance, and ensuring that clients are satisfied with the quality of the result.
  • Provide innovative thinking to the Design team, develop and implement trainings, and lead and drive business pitches and present creative concepts, mockups, and new and innovative ideas to internal and external clients.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, and have a demonstrated ability to understand and apply principles of visual organization, composition, information, hierarchy, symbolic representation, typography, aesthetics, and the construction of meaningful designs.

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, advertising, advertising design, or any other creative field.
  • At least 8-10 years of relevant experience in a professional creative services environment, creative studio, or in an advertising agency.
  • Strong management experience in design/creative teams, with a proven track record of leading and managing multiple creative projects at a time.
  • Experience working in a collaborative design environment, with a strong understanding of design thinking and human-centered design.
  • Robust B2B experience and deep business language knowledge, with a proven ability to understand and apply principles of visual organization, composition, information, hierarchy, symbolic representation, typography, aesthetics, and the construction of meaningful designs.
  • Full advance command of the English language to hold complex conversations and creative processes, and solid knowledge in creative suites such as Adobe Creative Suite.
