About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Front-End Technology Architect to join our team at Hangar Worldwide. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading the front-end development activities and overseeing the technical architecture and design of our web solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be in charge of presentations to clients, directly working with other groups such as Creative, Business, and Technology.
  • Code reviewing, mentoring, and enforcing coding guidelines and best practices for junior teammates.
  • Help coordinate the team's technical communication with other groups such as Creative, Business, and Management.
  • Own the technical architecture and design of the web solution and oversee the front-end development activities.
  • Gather new user and business requirements, map them to appropriate technical solutions, and estimate the associated development tasks.
  • Ensure concise and clear documentation is maintained by all peers for the projects as dictated by each capability's guidelines and best practices.
  • Own software release activities, including but not limited to reviewing code changes, client demos, QA hand-offs, and presenting solutions and justifications for tasks.
  • Debug or troubleshoot complex or critical issues that cannot be handled by junior positions and provide root cause analysis.
  • Establish project scaffolding and associated automation tools for the project.
  • Create training programs for technologies within fields of expertise.
  • Actively participate in capability activities and initiatives.
  • Setup regular one-on-one meetings to provide coaching, feedback, career development, and status reporting.

Requirements:

  • Advanced English knowledge (B2+ reading, writing, some conversational).
  • At least 5 years of experience working exclusively with Front-End technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
  • Solid experience in animations.
  • Capable dealing with cross-browser and responsive development.
  • Expert knowledge of recent development patterns and practices (Mobile First, MVC, Object-Oriented development).
  • Experience in integrating front-end development with several common back-end technologies (.Net, Java, PHP, Ruby) and third-party platforms.
  • Proficiency with popular JavaScript frameworks and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Work experience configuring, using, and troubleshooting tools such as process automation & scripting (e.g. Webpack or Gulp) and pre-process tools (e.g. SASS, LESS).
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven track record as a technical team leader, communication, team work, and leadership skills experience.
  • Expert knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
  • Expert cross-browser and responsive development.
  • Expert knowledge of pre-processed CSS styling (SASS, LESS).
  • Capable of configuring automation tools such as Webpack or Gulp and including common project tasks such as: pre-processing, minification, code obfuscation, etc.
  • Knowledge of design patterns (e.g. model-view-controller, observer, object-oriented, etc.) and working with several mainstream libraries and frameworks (jQuery, Angular, Ember, Backbone, React, VueJS, or any other).
  • Capable of designing and choosing a quality assurance process for the project including guidelines for unit tests, load testing, performance testing.
  • Capable of writing code compliant with modern accessibility (e.g. ARIA, WCAG, Microformats, ADA, RDF) and SEO guidelines and best practices.
  • Capable of working with new technologies and building proof of concept prototypes.
  • Capable of troubleshooting, debugging, and doing root cause analysis of web platform issues.
  • Familiarity with clients and stakeholders communication.
  • Experience complying with QA processes and unit testing.

Bonus Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline; or equivalent experience as Software Developer.
  • Experience in Digital Agencies projects, Web development projects, SCRUM/Agile software projects).
  • Experience with Veeva platform.
