We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer - Manager to join our growing team in Amzn Support Srvcs Costa Rica. This person will own the coordination and execution of the production and delivery of a suite of reports regularly used by the organization to make key business decisions.
Responsibilities:- Lead a team of Business Intelligence Engineers focused on finance process automation and improvement, delivering projects against a productivity target set by the organization.
- Lead the due diligence process in terms of the nature of the intake activities, understand the effort estimation, tech skills required, appropriate resource fitment and builds consensus with business and operations teams and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Makes technical trade-offs between short-term needs and long-term goals at the time of due diligence.
- Be responsible for taking data analysis and insights capability to the next level; working with data infrastructure to ensure the data is accessible, auditing existing visualization dashboards, and working with stakeholders to recommend and create new reporting/insights
- Shaping and delivering key metrics, reports, and indicators by which our business will assess its performance
Data Warehousing, Modelling and SQL expertise to build and optimize queries and extract data.
VBA and Python expertise to handle large data sets and smoothen existing/redundant processes.
Visualization expertise to create stand-alone dashboards using visualization tools i.e. QuickSight, Power BI & Tableau.
Knowledge and direct experience using business intelligence reporting / visualization tools (Excel, OBIEE, Business Objects, Cognos, Tableau, Cubes, etc.).
Experience data modeling and transformation of large scale data sources using SQL, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, EMR, or other Big Data technologies.
Knowledge of scripting for automation (e.g. Python, Perl, R etc.).
