About the Role

The Financial Operations Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Manager of General Accounting in driving business performance through metrics within GL processes. This includes monitoring and controlling activities related to GA processing system(s) to assure correct accounting reporting and system controls.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Monitor and control activities related to GA processing system(s) to assure correct accounting reporting and system controls.
  2. Prepare reports of findings and recommendations to NA SSC leadership.
  3. Monitor the execution of period-end financial close activities and meet all related deadlines.
  4. Prepare monthly journal entries as needed and serve as a SME to other GA colleagues.
  5. Facilitate quarterly Balance Sheet review meetings with sites.
  6. Handle accounting policy and procedure inquiries and ad hoc reporting and analysis requests.
  7. Provide periodic customer / center training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of technical accounting experience, with practical experience of US GAAP and Statutory Accounting.
  • Public accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Management and supervisory experience required.
  • Strong organizational skills required to coordinate and manage multiple cross-divisional work processes and projects.
  • Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with management.
  • Ability to operate independently and remain focused through change or uncertainty, capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to analytically review and challenge statutory financial statements to ensure completeness, accuracy adherence to accounting standards etc.
  • Demonstrated commitment to education and professional development.
  • Proficiency in PC skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
  • Experience with JDE, SAP, Oracle preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
