Job Title: AutoCAD Designer

Key Responsibilities

">
  • Design Development: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate conceptual design ideas into detailed technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software.
  • Fundamental Design Elements: Develop accurate foundation plans that outline the layout, dimensions, and specifications of the foundation components, ensuring proper load distribution and structural integrity.
  • Framing Plans: Create comprehensive framing plans that detail the placement, sizing, and specifications of structural components, optimizing material usage while adhering to relevant building codes.
  • Floor System Design: Design floor systems that encompass structural support, insulation, and flooring materials, considering factors such as load-bearing capacity and thermal efficiency.
  • Shearwall Design: Produce shearwall designs that effectively resist lateral forces and seismic activities, enhancing the overall stability and safety of the structure.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy, precision, and completeness of design drawings, minimizing errors and discrepancies to facilitate smooth construction processes.
  • Code Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards to ensure all design plans meet legal and safety requirements.
  • Effective Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers, to integrate design plans seamlessly into the overall construction process.
  • Modification and Revision: Assist in revising and updating design plans based on feedback, site conditions, or project changes, maintaining clear and organized documentation.

About You

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD designer who can join our team at STRAND Costa. The ideal candidate will have experience working with AutoCAD software and a solid understanding of building design principles.

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
