**Job Overview**

Ntt Data is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Costa Rica. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience and excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL.

**Responsibilities**

  • Design and implement database systems that meet the needs of end users.
  • Build high-quality databases with high availability.
  • Define users and enable data distribution in a timely manner.
  • Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data.
  • Minimize database downtime and provide fast query responses.
  • Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users.
  • Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards.

**Requirements**

  • Proven working experience as a Database Administrator.
  • Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL.
  • Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding.
  • Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools.
  • Familiarity with programming languages API.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.

**Nice to Have**

  • Experience working in SCRUM methodology.
  • Proven sense of high accountability and self-drive to take on and see through big challenges.
  • Confident, takes ownership, willingness to get the job done.
  • Excellent verbal communications and cross-group collaboration skills.

**Education**

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent required.
