Job Description

This role involves working as a Technical Specialist - Cloud Operations, responsible for:

  • Performing daily operations tasks on Microsoft Azure cloud services
  • Ensuring seamless and efficient service delivery
  • Monitoring and managing Azure IaaS/PaaS services using ScienceLogic and Azure Monitor
  • Generating auto-tickets for any issues detected in Service Now
  • Validating and updating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) according to operational requirements
  • Performing operation management within contract support hours
  • Handling incidents, problems, and changes in accordance with established procedures
  • Coordinating with cloud providers for any Azure VM or service level issues at the provider level
  • Performing Azure VM OS administration and troubleshooting
  • Conducting health checks as per agreed datacenter services patching standards
  • Managing Azure VM Compliance according to client security documents
  • Monitoring Azure service capacity using cloud-native tools
  • Identifying cost optimization opportunities as they arise

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 1-2 years of experience supporting Linux environments
  • Expertise in managing Cloud platforms such as MS Azure
  • Knowledge of public cloud operations and service management
  • Familiarity with databases like SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Cloud Object Store
  • Experience in managing firewalls and network-related components
  • Cloud account management skills
  • Cloud cost management expertise
