The Controls Assurance Testing Team reports into the Global Security Office, serving as the 2LOD between the 1LOD (Control Owners) and the 3LOD (Audit).
This team evaluates security controls, makes recommendations for remediation, and reports on assessments.
As an Information Security Specialist - Control Assurance, you will:
- Lead control testing teams or collaborate within the team to perform design and operating effectiveness testing of information security controls.
- Provide peer review for control testing documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Identify and document control deficiencies, including root causes, risk descriptions, consistent issue ratings, and recommendations for improvement.
- Create and present reports and control testing findings to stakeholders, including socialization of any findings.
- Serve as the primary contact with business stakeholders for the controls tests, responsible for quality of control testing engagements and stakeholder communications.
- Contribute to the efficiency of the control testing program, ensuring KPIs are measurable, testing materials are standardized, and stakeholder feedback is captured.
You will need:
- Cybersecurity principles and organizational requirements relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation.
- Governance, risk, and controls principles.
A successful candidate should have:
- Effective collaboration and people skills.
- Experience in performing impact, risk, or control assurance assessments, preparing plans, and conducting reviews of systems.
- Adept verbal and written communication skills.
- Judgement when controls are not well defined.
- Ability to complete internal security assessments, including planning, execution, and reporting.
We are seeking someone with a bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or a relevant field, and 3+ years' experience performing IT Audit or Information Security control assessments. Alternatively, 5-7 years of experience in Information Security, Information Technology, and/or IT Audit.
The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
