In this critical role, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and quality of data across the organization. The Data Governance Specialist will work closely with stakeholders to design, develop, and implement effective data governance strategies, including monitoring methodologies, control assessments, and training programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with stakeholders to design and develop data governance strategies.
- Develop and implement monitoring methodologies to mitigate identified risks.
- Assess internal and external risks of the business.
- Conduct and embed stronger Data Management controls consistent with Citi's global Data Management Policy.
- Facilitate and coordinate annual Data Management Maturity assessments.
- Assist in preparing training and review sessions with senior managers.
- Designate Strategic Data Repositories and Approved Data Sources.
- Coordinate questionnaires for all systems across Finance Risk & Infrastructure.
- Maintain Data Services records management program.
- Governance of Data Services Policies, Procedures & Standards.
- Partnership with key cross-functional stakeholders to update, refine, and enhance key Data Governance documents.
- Proactive notification process to ensure timely actions owned by Data Services.
- Provide analytical support to create custom queries in Cognos Tools.
- Establish and maintain working partnerships with Business / Technology Teams.
- Support Data Services Data Governance Officer, Senior Managers, and Data Governance Team.
- Function as a line of defense support for internal auditors, third-party vendors, and independent validation.
- Assist in preparing Monthly Operating Review and Data Governance Council materials.
