Job Summary

The Risk & Compliance Lead Associate/Expert will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls across our organization.

This includes designing and documenting internal controls, monitoring and testing internal controls performance over time, and ensuring compliance with global policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and document internal controls for processes and markets supported by SSC
  • Monitor and test internal controls performance over time, with a special focus on SOX controls periodic assessment
  • Ensure compliance with global policies, procedures, and best practices in relation to the internal control environment, particularly in relation to SOX compliance
  • Act as an advisor to process managers advising on best practices, assisting proactively in control monitoring and assessments
  • Responsible for proper and timely escalation of compliance issues
  • Coordinate business continuity management for SSC in line with global policies and procedures
  • Responsible for providing guidance to SSC on safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information
  • Support the local legal team in maintaining the appropriate control framework in relation to data privacy
  • Support the ongoing development and expansion of SSC scope/footprint

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance / Accounting
  • Professional accountancy qualification
  • 5 years of experience in accounting/audit (experience with a Big 4 firm considered a plus)
  • Knowledge of US GAAP considered a plus
  • Knowledge of SAP considered a plus
