**About the Role at Golabs**
Golabs is seeking a seasoned Principal Software Architect to join our Systems Development Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing custom embedded software solutions for our cutting-edge hardware products.
This position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide expertise in kernel module development, BSP development, and embedded Linux programming. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C, C++ (11/14/17), and scripting languages such as bash and python.
The selected candidate will also possess knowledge of software design patterns, unit testing, and hardware operation principles like Boot sequences, DMA, DDR, Busses (I2C, SPI, can), PWM. Additionally, experience with Embedded Linux, including kernel architecture, kernel module development, and hardware support, POSIX system programming, daemon development (systemd/system V), Yocto build environment, and Docker system is highly valued.
A deep understanding of frameworks like Gstreamer and PyTorch, as well as collaboration tools (i.e., GIT, JIRA, Confluence) and software configuration tools, is necessary for success in this role. Strong written and verbal English language communication skills are also required.
