About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Process Engineer to join our team at Intel, where you will play a key role in driving process improvements and manufacturing excellence.

As a member of our Technology Development and Manufacturing Group, you will be part of a worldwide network of design, development, manufacturing, and assembly/test facilities, all focused on utilizing the power of Moore's Law to bring smart, connected devices to every person on Earth.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and sustain advanced processes for component attach, underfill lid attach, laser mark in semiconductor manufacturing operations.
  • Plan and implement operational improvements to maximize output while improving safety, yields, and quality of operations.
  • Conduct tests and measurements of operations to determine control over critical success indicators and parameters of the process line.
  • Recommend and implement modifications for operating equipment to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques, and optimize production output for existing products.
  • Establish and submit processing requirements to be met in designing and acquiring processing equipment.
Qualifications

For this role, we require:

  • Bachelor's or Licentiate Degree in Electronic, Electrical, Electromechanical, Mechanical, Materials, Chemistry, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a High Volume Manufacturing environment and experience with Problem Solving Methodologies and Data analysis (JMP, SQL, Pathfinder, others).
  • Intermediate English Level.

We also prefer candidates with knowledge of thermal dispensing and high precision pick place equipment in Assembly production lines, as well as experience with Transfer of Technology from Technology Development to Production, LEAN, and Six Sigma.
