Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Global Treasury and Credit Expert to join our team in Cartago, Costa Rica. As a key player in our finance department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing long-term financing strategies, managing cash pooling and cash planning, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction on long-term financing strategies
  • Manage cash pooling and cash planning to optimize liquidity and minimize risk
  • Develop and maintain strong banking relationships to secure favorable terms and conditions
  • Implement best practices in bank communication and system use to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Monitor and analyze foreign exchange exposures, propose hedging strategies, and ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Support credit and collection processes by analyzing new client proposals, reviewing credit limits, and setting policies in place

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, economics, or a relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in customer risk management and credit control, as well as treasury expertise
  • Strong knowledge of international accounting rules and regulations
  • Advanced command of written and spoken Spanish and English
  • Experience working in Central America region with deep knowledge of local markets and regulations

Reporting Lines:

This role reports directly to the Regional Finance Manager - North Latam.
