Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing monthly revenue journal entries, analyzing revenue and deferred revenue activity, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and Moody's accounting policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and/or review monthly revenue journal entries;
  • Analyze revenue and deferred revenue activity;
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and Moody's accounting policies;
  • Recommend improvements to the existing workflow and implement approved changes;
  • Provide support on ad hoc projects including testing and documentation of current and new systems;
  • Liaise with international offices to obtain general ledger information processed locally;
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise in the department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance;
  • 5+ years related experience;
  • PUBLIC ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word; Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI;
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and perform in a quick paced environment;
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills and attention to details are a must;
  • Competent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Knowledge of SAP financial system and BlackLine is a plus but not necessary.
