Quality Manufacturing Systems Engineer Role at Intel

As a Quality Manufacturing Systems Engineer at Intel, you will be responsible for collaborating closely with Manufacturing stakeholders to support quality events triggered by manufacturing and ensuring their timely closure, aligned with production goals.

The primary responsibilities for this role include:

  • Leading established programs across various domains, complexity levels, and business functions to ensure successful transfer and operation of Intel's high-volume inventory Quality Manufacturing Systems in Costa Rica Assembly Test.
  • Driving the operational implementation and management of ongoing programs in line with new technologies, new products, and corporate guidelines to achieve specific business objectives such as developing new solutions, improving operational efficiencies, or enhancing customer experience through Quality.
  • Developing and implementing programs/projects to improve Quality on the Manufacturing floor and advancing the Copy Exactly initiative.
  • Ensuring Quality systems are properly implemented or improved for new technologies/products or legacy ones to guarantee proper landing in CRAT ATM. This includes coordinating knowledge transfer and improvement through the Value Factory.
  • Working closely with program team members and cross-functional partners (Engineering, NPI, TEG, ATTD) to develop a program roadmap, assign key responsibilities, and define an appropriate schedule for key milestones.
  • Exercising decision-making authority at the program level to coordinate interdependencies among multiple teams and/or organizations, prioritize resource utilization, and calibrate direction when required.
  • Defining key performance indicators or success metrics by program, monitoring progress at regular intervals, and reporting on status to senior leadership.
  • Assessing quality excursion risk assessments and driving quality awareness across the pipeline by organizing quality programs. Additionally, getting involved in all quality-related CIPs.
  • Performing detailed investigations on all suspected Manufacturing system-related issues and excursions.
  • Representing Manufacturing in VF/Department Quality Meetings (YQMRC, Yield Task Force, etc.) and providing coaching/guidance to Manufacturing Technical Specialists (MTS) on root cause finding.
  • Conducting self-audits to ensure compliance with IQSA/ISO requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Licentiate degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Quality for high-volume production.
  • At least 2 years of experience with FMEA, MBPS, Knowledge Management.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office.
  • Advanced English level.
  • Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Costa Rica.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience/knowledge in Assembly/Test manufacturing process.
  • Experience/knowledge in Lean Six Sigma and Theory of Constraints.
  • Previous experience in ATM.
  • Experience/knowledge in Workstream/Lot Details, ATRMS, FORM UI, RTD, PAC, NGWITTS, ION, ILM, MMS, xCCB, Speed, CATTS, LCAD, ICATCH, HDR.
  • Data analytics, visualization, and inference; SQLP, PBI.
