Data Visualization Engineer Role

We are seeking passionate Data Visualization Engineer students who can take complex datasets and turn them into insightful dashboards and/or reports using modern reporting tools and Power BI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Streamline and automate manual, repetitive reporting processes to bring new insights to leaders in an interactive and timely manner.
  • Use data modeling, prototyping, statistics, data mining, and scenario analysis to collect, explore, and extract insights and present them using Power BI.
  • Develop scaled data models for the Enterprise to proliferate operational data, increase automation, and drive decision-useful information.
  • Work to increase data proficiency for Corporate Services through development and deployment of training.
  • Work with descriptive analytics to drive more data-derived insights through the use of tools/platforms such as Power BI, Visual Studio, SSAS, and scripting languages.

We value advanced English communication skills, a willingness to experiment, learn, persist through setbacks, and solve difficult problems with a methodical approach.

Qualifications

  • BS students in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Systems and Software Engineering or related field (willing to remain at least one year as active student).
  • Visualization experience with tools.
  • Advanced English level.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Power BI knowledge.
  • Familiarity with systems and data environments.
  • Scripting languages (i.e., SQL, Python, PowerShell, R, API, HTML, XML, Regex).
  • Formula expression languages (i.e., DAX).
  • Agile Project Management using Jira and Jira Align.
  • Understanding of Manufacturing or Corporate Services Business Model.
  • Skills to demonstrate Power BI visualization techniques, SQL, and some scripting.
