The Security Operations Center (SOC) is responsible for monitoring and responding to security incidents 24/7. The SOC Analyst will work closely with Information Security, IT Operations, and Engineering teams to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor security tools, including Intrusion Detection Systems, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Anti-Malware, Firewalls, Centralized Logging system, and Security Information and Event Management tools
- Identify current and potential problem areas, escalating and responding as appropriate
- Stay up-to-date with industry threat intelligence and recommend risk mitigation strategies
- Perform vulnerability scanning, analysis, notification, and follow-up
Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge of information security principles, concepts, practices
- Familiarity with networks and operating systems
- Ability to provide technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical information technology security issues
- Strong analytical skills and ability to assess risk factors and advise on vulnerability of attack from a variety of sources
- Experience with security incident detection, response, and remediation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Security Certifications, such as CCNA Security, CCNP Security
- Experience with trouble ticketing systems
