About this role

We are seeking an Electronics Investigator to join our team. As a critical member of our organization, you will be responsible for identifying and researching component failures to enhance product yield, quality, and reliability.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating the electrical and mechanical characteristics of integrated circuits, components, subcomponents, and systems to determine the root cause of failure.
  • Analyzing failure reports and recommending corrective action to prevent reoccurrence of problems.
  • Utilizing standard electronic test equipment (digital/analog) such as Logic analyzer, ICE, ITPO oscilloscope, and test systems to conduct board failure analysis and debug.
  • Supporting new product transfer and startup, and automating and improving the failure analysis process.
  • Proliferating shared learning across sites.
  • Maintaining necessary records and reports.
  • Performing other related duties as required or directed.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Electromechanical/Material Science/Electronic/Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Intermediate to Advanced English Level.
  • 1+ Year Experience in using Failure Analysis Tools in the electronic components industry.
  • Costa Rican Work Permit.
  • Flexibility on schedule to accommodate off-regular hours' meetings, if required.

Work Model for this Role

This role will require an on-site presence.

Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, based on your experience and qualifications.
