IT Solutions Architect for Release Engineering

The IT Solutions Architect for Release Engineering will play a key role in driving IT Environment planning and Release Management across our organization, managing source code repositories, build pipelines, and automated test execution.

This position requires strong leadership skills to resolve issues affecting software release scope, risk, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the IT Environment matrix
  • Facilitate environments for various business initiatives and product releases, serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for builds and deployments
  • Assist in Product Release Planning, including capacity, cutover, code management, infrastructure, and DevOps services
  • Research and standardize IT code/configuration management, deployment processes, and tools across application areas
  • Facilitate annual IT Continuity/DR planning and tabletop exercises
  • Partner with IT Solution Partners on Product Roadmaps and compliance initiatives related to SOX, HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Environment Planning and Release Management
  • Expertise in Software engineering, tools engineering, and/or configuration management
  • Desirable experience: working in Healthcare or Lifesciences domain, IT System Administration, facilitating GRC (Governance, Risk & Controls) in SOX, HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS
  • ITIL Foundations or other operational framework certification is a plus

Bachelor's Degree Required:

  • Cs, MIS, or related field highly preferred

Primary Skills:

  • IT Environment Planning/Release Management
  • Experience with Linux, Command Line, and Scripting
  • Experience with Jenkins, Maven, and other CI/CD tools
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk or any other monitoring tools/process
  • Cloud (AWS) deployments, Container-based deployments, and migration

Additional Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong program management skills to drive cutovers
  • Self-starter with the ability to drive tasks to completion independently
  • Ability to improve and maintain new and existing processes
