Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst II to join our Revenue Recognition Finance team in Costa Rica. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and posting journal entries associated with month-end close, preparing deferred revenue and accrued sales account reconciliations, and analyzing supporting documentation to determine appropriate revenue recognition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries associated with month-end close.
  • Prepare deferred revenue and accrued sales account reconciliations.
  • Analyze supporting documentation to determine appropriate revenue recognition.
  • Support the UK revenue finance team in enforcing controls and external-internal audits.
  • Implement procedures to achieve efficient and effective month-end close with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Assist with researching audit and flex analysis requests.
  • Perform quality control procedures for deferred revenue and accrued sales.
  • Collaborate with BU Finance to gain a deeper understanding of products and contracts.
  • Inform the UK revenue accounting team of any high-risk items.
  • Provide support to the Revenue Finance team for various initiatives and projects.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and month-end close process.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including Vlookups and pivot tables.
  • Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities under tight time frames.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Highly deadline-driven with the ability to demonstrate ownership of tasks assigned.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a highly professional client service orientation.
  • Demonstrated record of process improvements and desire to implement best practices.
  • Proven previous job stability, including maintaining long-term work relationships with former employers.
  • Must be able to clear the company's pre-employment screening.
