Commercial Loan Origination Specialist

World Business Lenders, LLC is a leading provider of short-term real estate collateralized commercial loans to small and medium-sized businesses across the United States. As a Contract/Consultant position, this role requires flexibility in working hours, with 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern Time being the standard, although operational requirements may necessitate longer hours.

Position Overview

In a fast-paced environment, the Commercial Loan Origination Specialist will support the General Counsel in overseeing all U.S. legal and regulatory matters related to the origination of short-term real estate collateralized commercial loans. This involves coordinating legal and regulatory aspects, liaising with internal departments and external entities, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and maintaining knowledge of relevant rules and regulations.

Essential Functions- Coordinate the loan origination process, including legal and regulatory aspects
- Liaise and collaborate with internal and external parties
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant rules and regulations
- Provide required legal advice and guidance
- Prepare and review loan documents and supporting materials
- Review title reports and commitments
- Prepare and review agreements with business referral partners
- Understand and adhere to time-sensitive deadlines
- Develop, prepare, update, and revise applicable policies and procedures
- Conduct post-closing loan reviews
- Address origination-related matters in coordination with the post-closing asset resolution process for non-performing loans
- Other projects and duties as assigned

Requirements:

A law degree from a nationally accredited U.S. law school is preferred, with at least 5+ years of experience in U.S. commercial loan origination, preferably with real estate collateralized loans. Working knowledge of U.S. federal and state commercial lending laws, rules, regulations, licensing requirements, and laws governing financial institutions is also preferred. Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills are essential, as well as excellent English fluency.
