Key Responsibilities

We're looking for a Business Analyst to join our Capacity Planning team. You'll work cross-functionally with Digital Supply chain Operations, Partner Operations, Program teams, and Product / Tech to ensure we have the right number of people when and where we need them.

What You'll Do

  • Identify, develop, and execute data analysis to uncover areas of business opportunity.
  • Design and execute analyses, including data mining by utilizing available analysis tools, interpret the results and develop recommendations and actionable steps based on the learning.
  • Shaping and informing key metrics and indicators by which our department and products will assess their performance.
  • Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon's data resources and know how, when and which data sources to use.
  • Deep dive into data sets to answer key business questions using AWS solutions such as QuickSight, Redshift, and custom tools with SQL and other data manipulation languages.

Requirements

  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and build models based on 'what if' scenarios.
  • Ability to handle changing priorities.
  • Advanced skills in statistical & data analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication & data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
  • Analytical and quantitative skills; an ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses.
  • Strong Bias for Action; ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions for measuring complex business processes in an intuitive way.
