We are seeking experienced Maritime Advisors to provide expert technical advice on development and other casework in Central America and Western Hemisphere countries.

Job Description:

  • Lead on and/or coordinate provision of expert technical advice on development and other casework/information requested, including complex high-profile proposals.
  • Provide expert marine advice to the development and implementation of project statements.
  • Quality assure, interpret, and advise on external and internal reports/assessments.
  • Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships and engagement, including liaison and partnership.
  • Influence and contribute to the development and delivery plans and strategies.
  • Provide expert technical and operational advice to the development of corporate standards/process and guidance.
  • Mentor and coach other members of the team and colleagues as required.
  • Contribute to the development and subsequent implementation of casework guidance.
  • Contribute technical advice into enforcement cases, both internal and external.

Requirements:

  • MRPT certification or RSO clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in international relations, law enforcement, public policy, or related field; or 15 years or related professional experience.
  • FSI level 3/3 Spanish, FSI level 3/3 English.
  • Fifteen years' experience in the field of the specialty, which must include three years of experience working overseas in an Embassy environment, or three years of specialized supervisory experience depending on the position.
  • Experience briefing in Spanish and English.
