We're seeking a highly skilled Platform Architect to join our team at Steer.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in Kubernetes and DevOps, with a proven track record of designing and deploying complex production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement CI/CD automation infrastructure using Github Actions and Flux
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable solutions
- Work closely with engineers to resolve production issues and optimize system performance
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or System Administration
- 4+ years extensive demonstrable Kubernetes experience: designing, deploying, and operating complex production environments using advanced cloud native tools
- 5+ years public cloud experience: AWS (preferred), GCP, Azure
- 4+ years extensive Terraform experience, including managing large infrastructures, writing modules, refactoring manifests
- 3+ years programming experience in a modern language: Go (preferred), Python, with shell scripting proficiency
Worked with mission-critical, 24/7 production environments
Nice to Have:
- Extensive CI/CD knowledge, implementing software build and deployment pipelines, advanced deployment patterns
- GitOps experience (FluxCD, ArgoCD)
- Hands-on experience with some/all of MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Redis, Postgres, Vault, service meshes, API gateways, etc.
- Hands-on monitoring experience with modern tools and services, e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK/EFK, CloudWatch, DataDog, NewRelic
- Good understanding of distributed systems
- Agile software development methodologies experience
