Job Description

As a key member of the global Design Operations team, this position plays a crucial role in executing activities related to creation/changes of artworks pre-printed by external suppliers. The successful candidate will require an understanding of artworks data management, standard procedures, and execution according to agreed SLA.

The primary responsibility of this role is to execute and coordinate tasks related to the design and implementation of artworks pre-printed by external suppliers. This involves collaboration with internal clients from other 3M entities worldwide to deliver compliant artwork on time in full.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Gaining knowledge about design, coordination of work related to the creation/changes of artworks pre-printed by external suppliers, procedures, responsibilities, policies, and systems
  • Executing and coordinating tasks related to the design and implementation of artworks pre-printed by external suppliers
  • Making sure all requests are handled through established processes, standard work, and related systems (ITSM, BLUE/PASARA, AMP, PLM)
  • Validation of received data
  • Assigning task owners/approvers within system and ensuring work is approved within indicated timing
  • Cooperation with assigned Division, Data Providers/Approvers, and Clients (Marketing/Business, Packaging Solutions, Product Stewardship, Division Leaders, Plants, Requestors, Regulatory/Technical Affairs, Customer Service, Legal, R&D, Quality, etc.)
  • Responsible for completing assigned tasks within SLA targets (i.e., ticket resolution and taking actions under the team's control and responsibility)
  • Updating request status and actions up to date to reflect metrics or dashboards and to avoid data corruption
  • Understanding all supporting systems (MICAW, Enovia/PLM, SAP, ITSM, BLUE/PASARA, AMP, itp.)
  • Working with system admin for any system needs or enhancements
  • Identification of opportunities to improve data quality, process efficiency, or reduce cycle time
  • Responsible for escalation of issues as needed
  • Adhering to global brand guidelines
  • Cooperation with external agencies and technical support in creating artworks and suppliers who finally manufacture the packaging
  • Preparing accurate estimates of costs, milestones, timelines, and resources prior to initiating projects
  • Monitoring PO & invoices for accuracy
  • Monitoring activities of the agency to meet expectations
  • Developing working knowledge of brand and 3M guidelines and ensuring accurate implementation in each design
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction
  • Performing other tasks assigned by the Supervisor
  • Adhering to ISO and QMS standards in daily work

Education and Experience

To be considered for this role, applicants should possess a Bachelor level or higher university degree. Specifically, a Bachelor of Science or equivalent in design, design research, or art management education is preferred. Additionally, relevant working experience of 1-3 years, experience as a data analyst, experience in a manufacturing environment, experience with field mapping, and data entry are highly valued. General IT Analyst and/or business analyst experience and a willingness to grow and learn in an enterprise environment are also desired.

Desired Skills and Tools

Candidates with experience with Excel Power Query, SQL, and/or PowerBI data analysis and reporting are highly desirable.
