The role of Senior Accountant in the Corporate Accounting team is a key contributor to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the reconciliation of accounting transactions in legacy systems of acquired entities versus Moody's financial systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Leverage data analytics tools, such as Microsoft Power BI & Alteryx, to provide dynamic information that meets various automation requirements, driving business growth and improvement.
- Prepare journal entries with supporting documents, maintaining the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Reconcile key accounts and perform flux analysis to ensure the accuracy of monthly financial results, providing valuable insights for informed decision-making.
- Prepare monthly reporting packages for certain acquired entities, showcasing our commitment to transparency and accountability.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence.
- Assist with ad-hoc assignments and special projects, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
We seek candidates with a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices, combined with exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting; Business Information Systems is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience supporting accounting operations in a US GAAP company, with a proven track record of success.
- Proficiency in Alteryx and Microsoft Power BI, with experience in SAP S/4 Hana and Fiori a plus.
- Working experience with US GAAP reporting, Blackline Task and Reconciliation module, and other relevant tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across functional teams.
