About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join our team at Moody's. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a dynamic environment and have a passion for finance.

As a Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support through all phases of the financial planning and analysis processes, including business partnering and working on cross-functional projects.

This role requires a detail-oriented and strategically minded individual with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. You should also be able to present complex financial information and models effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the execution of financial planning and analysis processes, projects, and ad-hoc requests as required by the Finance organization.
  • Provide support on the analysis, forecasting, month-end and variance analysis reporting, and Ad Hoc projects based on business needs.
  • Provide support to the preparation of reports on a monthly basis and variance analysis that will help identify key focus areas for management, in a timely manner.
  • Provide support to the input of forecast and budget projections and adjustments into Moody's financial reporting system.
  • Partner with local, regional, and global contacts and communicate effectively with the business to foster good working relationships with the rest of the organization.
Requirements
  • Studying towards a post-graduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, or another quantitative field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Financial Planning and analysis processes, modelling, business intelligence tools, and data science experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • Detail and data quality-oriented and capable of summarizing and effectively communicating findings/analysis to senior management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (preferably: Office 365), financial modelling, and related financial systems.
  • Advanced analytical decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of basic accounting concepts.
