Senior Drafter

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Senior Drafter to join our team at Joby Aviation. As an Engineering Design Specialist, you will play a crucial role in creating engineering drawings for flight articles.

**Responsibilities**

• Provide CAD drafting support to create/revise drawings for new/legacy custom parts.
• Review dimensions and tolerances on drawings to ensure their suitability for the intended production process.
• Create part models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using current ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning, and Tolerancing standard.
• Work with various teams to identify drafting support needs and schedule workload based on priorities set by management.
• Support design reviews to ensure that parts can be manufactured efficiently and in compliance with internal requirements.
• Assist in lifecycle changes and production release of drawings via PLM.
• Process engineering change orders and lead the implementation process.

**Requirements**

• 3+ years of related experience working as a Drafter directly or handling drafting in design roles.
• Bachelor's or associate degree in relevant field (Mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace, etc.).
• Experience with a CAD software (i.e. CATIA, Solidwork, NX, etc).
• Experience with PLM CAD data management.
• Advanced knowledge of ASME Y14.5M Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Standard.
• High level of competency with drafting standards.
