**Job Description**

We are seeking an experienced System Database Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and administering MS SQL Server databases/Oracle, supporting daily operations, and developing strategies to improve availability and utilization of MS SQL Servers/Linux and AIX (Oracle) Environment of multinational clients.


**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage MS SQL server databases
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours
  • Logging, managing, and resolving SQL Server SR's with Microsoft Support
  • Installs, maintains, administers, and tunes MS SQL Server databases
  • Completes database backups and maintains backup procedures
  • Maintains database high availability and the upkeep and availability of other Database systems as required
  • Creatures automation scripts to perform repetitive tasks and to ensure high data integrity
  • Determines database management needs and recommends system upgrades as necessary
  • Ensures that databases are restored in a timely and efficient manner in the event of system failure
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
  • Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end


**Required Technical and Professional Expertise:**

The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of extensive experience in Oracle/MSSQL database administration, proven knowledge in Oracle installation and configuration, experience and knowledge in Oracle administration on Linux, UNIX and Windows environments, proven knowledge of various backup procedures / strategies, and database management skills for MS SQL Server (V 2000 to 2019), SQL Server Reporting Server, SQL Server Integration Server, and SQL Server Analysis Services.


**Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

The successful candidate will have a strong passion for collaborative environments that use agile methodologies, be an ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals, possess intuitive ability to manage change and proven time management, have proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, and stay up-to-date with technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications.
