About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Procurement Planning Professional to join our team at Edwards Lifesciences. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing the procurement of materials required to support customer demand and new product introduction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and schedule the manufacturing production plan from the master production schedule requirements with increased complexity and volume.
  • Analyze resource availability, develop short- and mid-range capacity plans with manufacturing teams, and lead teams to ensure plans are met.
  • Generate work orders using systems, manage work order progress, and provide ship schedules to the supply chain/demand team.
  • Establish and maintain gross inventory targets, develop action plans to minimize inventory exposure, and assess inventory management.
  • Develop and identify cost reduction process improvements.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Five years of previous related experience required. Experience in purchasing and/or production control and logistics preferred. Experience working in a medical device and/or regulated industry required.

Additional Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., JDE) preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal relationship skills, including negotiating and relationship management skills.
  • Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills, strong analytical and statistical skills.
  • Solid knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and inventory management programs.
  • Solid knowledge of market and economic indicators, practices, and procurement procedures.
