Responsibilities
  • Follow the procedures of the calibration system.
  • Investigate, develop, and innovate in new calibration techniques.
  • Provide technical support in metrology.
  • Perform calibrations, receive and send equipment for external calibration; develop new calibration procedures; maintain the calibration system (equipment, labels, documentation).
  • Provide technical support to instrument users on the use, care, and interpretation of measurement instruments.
  • Develop non-conformity events due to out-of-tolerance conditions through the eCAPA system.
  • Supervise the proper functioning and optimal appearance of instruments and/or measurement equipment.
  • Perform calibration events on time.
  • Provide technical advice to area operators and technicians I and II.
  • Follow the established procedures of the Quality Management System, including, but not limited to, Training, Regulatory Audits, Activity Documentation, etc.
  • Use and promote the use of necessary safety equipment.
  • Provide support to the continuous improvement process of calibration procedures.
  • Apply the Root Cause Analysis to out-of-tolerance conditions due to equipment failures and provide documentation to support the continuous improvement process.
  • Support engineering activities related to product/process transfers between BSCI facilities.
  • Search for and/or participate in possible improvements or changes to improve the use of measurement equipment.
  • Provide support to research related to quality events in measurement equipment and/or production processes.
  • Perform coordination tasks during the defined shift, ensuring excellence in the following tasks: distribute technicians during the shift to ensure excellent customer service and coverage of requests, advise technicians during calibrations to ensure that the result meets the standard defined by BSC, align resources during breaks to ensure that there is always coverage of customer needs, be a model of respectful communication with the customer.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required.
  • Tech in Metrology, Electricity, Electronics, Mechanics, or 50% progress in university careers such as Metrology, Electricity, Electronics, Mechanics.
  • 5 years of experience in similar positions.
  • Availability to work in Shift B (Monday to Friday from 3:30 pm to 10:00 pm and Saturdays from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm).
  • Bilingual English (40%).
