Accounts Payable Senior Financial Analyst

At Lonza, we believe that talented individuals working together can devise innovative solutions to help businesses succeed. We're looking for a skilled Senior Payment Analyst to join our team in the US market.
The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payments and ensuring compliance with Lonza's policies. This involves reviewing transaction details, following up with stakeholders as needed, and serving as the main point of contact for key activities such as extra coordination, budget management, forecast, automatic/manual payments, and logistics payment-related processes.
This role requires accountability, integrity, and agility in the face of challenges. The ideal candidate will demonstrate these qualities while collaborating cross-functionally across the organization as needed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing payment runs to ensure currencies, bank accounts, and payment methods are carefully selected.
- Analyzing and following up on outstanding items to avoid overdue payments and communicating issues that could affect any payment process.
- Investigating and initiating queries with vendors and internally if needed, and communicating escalations to the AP Supervisor.
- Processing and reviewing vendor inquiries about invoice payment status.
- Handling internal tickets from stakeholders.
- Developing effective working relationships with internal departments and vendors, understanding the urgency and impact to both parties.
Requirements include advanced English proficiency (spoken and written), technical high school degree in accounting or an advanced degree in a related field, at least 3 years of experience in the Accounts Payable cycle for the US, Accounts Payable payment experience, demonstrated experience using ERP SAP, intermediate to advanced Excel skills, excellent attention to detail, and quality data entry.
