Emerson, a global leader in automation solutions and engineering, is seeking an experienced Strategic Procurement Professional to join our team. This dynamic role offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $115,000 per year.

About the Job

In this critical position, you will be responsible for managing the supply chain to support the overall needs of the business, sourcing and negotiating with new and existing suppliers, materials, and services as needed. Your expertise in procurement and supply chain management will enable you to review demand requirements and place purchase orders accordingly.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Run order recommendations, reviewing and releasing orders according to MRP suggestions, considering stock rotation objectives and needs by dates.
  • E nsure on-time delivery for open orders to suppliers and establish efficient working collaborations.
  • Build, issue, maintain, and expedite purchase orders for assigned drop-ship requisitions.
  • Enter/update part item information into the ERP System.
  • Ensure the availability of items for production processes according to demand and inventory objectives.
  • Analyze possible issues and take necessary actions regarding item availability.
  • Follow order acknowledgments from suppliers, inputting dates into the ERP system to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor ASCP signals to deliver parts on time without excess crafting.
  • Regularly review invoicing price or count discrepancies and communicate with the finance team for resolution.
  • Update supplier contact details in the ERP system as needed.
  • Manage potential risks caused by delivery delays and collaborate with other departments for product availability.
  • Communicate supplier-related issues with the sourcing group to ensure accurate development measures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Management, Business, Engineering, or STEM.
  • 3-5 years' experience in purchasing or production scheduling/planning.
  • Detailed knowledge of MRP and Capacity Planning, with sound S&OP Experience.
  • Basic understanding of engineering specifications, manufacturing processes, cost analysis (preferred).
  • Import/Export/Incoterms knowledge.
  • English Proficiency Required.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Experience working with Oracle ERP systems (preferred).
  • Good working knowledge of MRP.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in a multifaceted environment.
  • APICS / CPM certification (preferred).
  • Lean / Manufacturing environment or experience desired.
  • Good negotiating skills.
  • Able to balance multiple priorities.
  • Able to maintain positive work relationships with all work associates.
  • Able to maintain good customer relations.
