Role Summary
The R2R Accountant Cash Management role will be responsible for conducting key general accounting activities to ensure EMEA cash balances are reported in accordance with accounting for cash and equivalents policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform period-end financial close activities such as journal entries, perform daily bank account reconciliation, and monthly certification meeting all related deadlines.
- Ensure customer needs and relationships are fulfilled and enhanced through proactive involvement and interaction.
- Identify discrepancies and escalate complex technical accounting issues as necessary.
- Handle accounting policy and procedure inquiries, ad-hoc reporting, and analysis requests.
- Support Sr. accountant and specialist in preparation of internal and external ad-hoc and audit requests.
- Identify issues and continuous improvement opportunities and communicate to management.
- Participate in special projects and other initiatives that are in addition to existing role and responsibility.
- Maintain complete and accurate standard operating procedures and support control documentation requirements (SOX).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to work on own initiative.
- Basic knowledge in PC skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP & JD Edwards preferred).
- Intermediate English skills.
