At Wind River, we are pioneering the technologies to accelerate the digital transformations of our customers with a new generation of Mission Critical AI Systems. Success will be determined by our ability to innovate with velocity and solve customer problems at the solutions level.
We are looking for an experienced developer who will interact closely with DevSecOps engineers, CI/CD engineers, data engineers, data scientists, UI developers, cloud platform developers, architects, and stakeholders across the various Studio groups in Engineering. You will also collaborate cross-functionally with product line managers, sales, professional services, technologists, and customer-facing teams.
The primary responsibilities of this role include collaborating with coworkers to conceptualize, develop, and release software. You will help secure software to prevent security breaches and other vulnerabilities, ongoing monitoring of the Digital Feedback Loop architecture, checking for performance and compliance, creating repeatable, robust, and efficient installer code (Infrastructure as Code, or IaC), developing digital infrastructure and working on automated code to improve efficiency and reduce risk, supporting the automation of Continuous Integration, Deployment, and Testing, and building platform environments to support auto-scaling for the team in the future.
This is a mid-level role that requires advanced degrees (e.g., MSc or PhD) are appreciated, but not required, 3+ years working in software development, with at least 2+ years of experience working in all phases of the software product life cycle, from conception to extinction. Programming skills in at least one higher-level language (Python, Java, C++, C#, etc.) and a solid understanding of software product development lifecycle (including requirements and verification) are necessary. Familiarity with at least one major cloud service provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and awareness of security considerations relevant to software deployments are also essential.
You should have hands-on experience with Cloudify, Terraform, Helm charts, and similar technologies, Kubernetes, Docker, and related container & cloud deployment technologies, CM/CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins), relational databases (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (Mongo DB, Neo4j, etc.). Experience working with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is also beneficial.
A strong blend of technical expertise and soft skills, including effective & flexible communication skills in English, is required. Inclusive, collaborative team players comfortable with working in distributed agile environments are encouraged to apply.
