Job Description

The Cost Accountant will play a crucial role in transitioning RTR and costing activities from 3M's subsidiaries. This involves the end-to-end RTR process, including journal entries, month-end close, account reconciliations, product costing (PCIV), and gross margin analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency.
  • Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures.
  • Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports.
  • Making estimates of new and proposed product costs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • A self-starter with an excellent track record of delivering results.
  • A process improvement mindset.
  • Minimum of 2 solid years of Cost Accounting experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
  • Strong Excel, SAP, and AS400 skills.
  • Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Fluent English (equal or more than 75%).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior shared service center experience with a large multi-national.
  • Lean Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodology certification.
