Hospitality Housekeeper

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Hospitality Housekeeper to join our team at the AC Hotel San Jose Escazu. As a key member of our housekeeping staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our guest rooms and public areas.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity that requires a high level of physical activity, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve excellent results.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working order at all times.

- Clean and disinfect kitchen and store room areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.

- Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock to ensure maximum freshness and quality.

- Ensure clean wares are stored in designated areas, using detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink.

- Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, sending soiled items back for re-scrubbing and re-washing as needed.

- Rack and spray all racked items with hot water to loosen and remove food residue, sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware, and breakdown dirty bus tubs.

- Empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area, disposing of glass in the proper containers, and breaking down cardboard boxes and placing them and other recyclables in the recycle bin.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent not required.

- No prior work experience necessary, but a willingness to learn and take on new challenges is essential.

- Ability to lift objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance, stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, reach overhead, below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
