About the Opportunity
Wind River Systems is seeking an experienced Product Owner. As a member of the Agile Team responsible for maximizing the value delivered by the team and ensuring that the Product Backlog is aligned with customer and stakeholder needs. The Product Owner acts as the team's primary customer advocate and primary link to Product Management and Technology strategy, enabling the team to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders while continuously evolving the product.
Responsibilities
- Maximize the value of the product resulting from the work of the Agile Team in alignment with the broader Product Management strategy and roadmap.
- Manage the Product Backlog effectively, which includes developing and communicating the Product Goal and Sprint Goal for the sprint, creating and clearly communicating Product Backlog items for the Agile team, ordering Product Backlog items, and ensuring that the Product Backlog is transparent, visible, and understood.
- Prioritize and order user stories and ensure work aligns with product strategy.
- Maintain a healthy product backlog that exhibits DEEP (Detailed appropriately, Estimated, Emergent, and Prioritized) characteristics.
- Represent the needs of many stakeholders including Product Management and Business in the Product Backlog.
- Anchors the practice of Definition of Ready.
