Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for leading the pastry culinary team and ensuring the highest quality of pastries and desserts in all areas of the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the pastry culinary team to prepare high-quality pastries and desserts.
- Develop and implement new pastry recipes and menus to enhance the guest experience.
- Supervise and train pastry staff to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and service.
- Manage inventory and ordering of pastry supplies to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 4 years of experience in the culinary industry preferred.
- 2-year degree in Culinary Arts or related field and 2 years of experience in the culinary industry.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
