Cyber Security Incident Response Team Lead Specialist

**Job Summary:**
We seek an experienced Cyber Security Incident Response Team Lead to join our Global Security Office (EGSO). As a member of the Global Cyber Incident Response Team (GCIRT), you will respond to security events, contain threats, and coordinate mitigation according to Experian's Incident Response Plan. You will analyze security incidents involving phishing, malware, network attacks, and suspicious activity, and work with end-users, stakeholders, technical support teams, and management to ensure proper remediation and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to security events and alerts associated with threats, intrusions, and compromises.
- Effectively manage multiple cases related to security incidents throughout the incident response lifecycle.
- Identify best methods to contain, eradicate, and recover from a wide variety of security incidents.
- Provide recommendations to proactively prevent incidents from re-occurring in the future.
- Coordinate successful conclusion of security incidents according to Process & Procedures.
- Escalate severe incidents according to Experian's Incident Response Plan.
- Maintain all case documentation, including notes, analysis findings, containment steps, and root cause for each assigned security incident.
- Frequently attend and participate in the GSOC Weekly Lessons Learned Meetings.
Requirements:
- A foundational understanding of common Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, Mac OS), Networking (Firewalls, Proxies, etc.), and Security Technologies (Anti-Virus, Intrusion Prevention, etc.).
- Ability to maintain GCIRT Shift Logs for period worked and verify accuracy by L1 analysts.
- Excellent analytical skills using data collected from endpoints, environmental logging, and various other sources to maximize containment and eradication of threats.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to work with end-users, stakeholders, technical support teams, and management.
