About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Direct Tax Assistant Manager to join our team in Heredia, Costa Rica. As a key member of our GBS Finance function, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate reporting and payment of direct tax liabilities.

As a Direct Tax Assistant Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting Federal, State and Local Direct tax compliance, accounting, and forecasting. You will work closely with our Tax Manager to develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting and payment of direct tax liabilities
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with key commercial stakeholders and team members
  • Actively search out areas for process improvement and recommend improvements
  • Develop workable knowledge of applicable governmental laws and regulations of direct tax areas
  • Ensure transactions are documented in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Responsible to ensure all SOX / operational and internal controls are followed

Requirements

  • 4+ years' experience in a multinational company
  • 2+ years' experience in Direct Tax
  • Experience on Planning and Reporting are desirable
  • Must have proven ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
