About the Role:
As an Electro-Mechanical Systems Engineer at AbbVie, you will play a key part in leading the industrialization and design transfer of infusion systems and other electro-mechanical devices into contract manufacturers and internal plants. This involves investigating, identifying, developing, and optimizing new manufacturing methods and techniques to produce reliable products.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead manufacturing partners through early collaboration with engineering teams to ensure seamless transfer of new infusion pump products to manufacturing.
* Execute design transfer strategy as the key interface with internal and external manufacturing partners.
* Establish and maintain procedures and checkpoints that ensure new product design requirements successfully translate into production processes and specifications.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent education with +10 years of experience or master's degree or equivalent education with typically +8 years of experience.
  • 10+ years of electro-mechanical medical device manufacturing and/or medical device design transfer experience preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Interacts well with diverse groups within matrix organizations and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of product realization processes, quality systems, and regulatory requirements, including FDA and ISO regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

This role is also eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs. The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
