Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Database Admin to join our team in Costa Rica. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our database systems, as well as providing technical guidance and support to our end users.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Database Administration: Design, implement, and maintain database systems of high availability and quality to meet the needs of our end users.
  2. Data Management: Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner. Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data.
  3. System Performance: Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses.
  4. User Support: Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users.
  5. Policies and Standards: Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: Proven working experience as a Database Administrator, with 2 to 4 years of experience in similar roles.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL. Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding.
  • Tools and Technologies: Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools. Familiarity with programming languages API.
  • Soft Skills: Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.
Bonus Requirements
  • Methodology: Experience working in SCRUM methodology.
  • Personal Qualities: Proven sense of high accountability and self-drive to take on and see through big challenges. Confident, takes ownership, willingness to get the job done. Excellent verbal communications and cross-group collaboration skills.
