The Site New Product Introduction (NPI) Supervisor plays a crucial role in the Business Unit Engineering leadership team, reporting directly to the Global NPI Manager. This individual will be responsible for managing projects and supervising a team of professionals within a single Business Unit focused on a specific market segment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project teams to successfully execute projects chosen and prioritized by the Business Unit Leader, ensuring timely completion, scope adherence, and budget optimization while upholding ATL values with customers and throughout the organization.
- Identify technology and competency gaps in ATL to meet market needs, outlining personnel training plans, IR&D roadmaps, and leveraging engineers to deliver technical solutions for projects.
- Resource planning and allocation to projects, including identifying new resource needs and hiring the right personnel to fill requirements.
- Work interdepartmentally to remove roadblocks for project teams and support Regional Sales Managers and BUL in defining scope, schedule, and costs for sales proposals with customers.
- Monitor and report on project performance and employee metrics to management, supporting internal company initiatives like continuous improvement projects and business process development.
- Cross-functional collaboration with other NPI managers and functional teams to ensure consistency in role expectations for direct reports and provide necessary support, information, training, and resources for success.
- Foster an environment of continuous learning and professional growth, regularly updating the team's skills in areas relevant to the business unit customer base and market use cases.
- Proactive monitoring and reporting of business unit KPIs to identify deviations early and address them, as well as recognizing and celebrating successes.
- Develop a deep understanding of tools and processes used by subordinates to improve day-to-day expectations and identify opportunities for enhancement.
