Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior Leave Manager to join our Disability and Leave Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing holistic case management services to assigned employees, including reviewing medical documentation to adjudicate leaves in compliance with relevant laws and benefit plans.

Main Responsibilities

  • Case Management: Serve as a point of contact for assigned employees (150-200 cases) to provide comprehensive support, guidance, and resources throughout their leave experience.
  • Leave Adjudication: Review medical documentation to determine eligibility for leave benefits, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, as well as company policies.
  • Critical Thinking: Critically assess and adjust the case management plan to meet the changing needs of employees.
  • Communication: Respond to employee inquiries, address sensitive situations, and facilitate smooth communication between employees, managers, and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the leave process, sometimes with limited information.
  • Return-to-Work Planning: Facilitate a seamless return-to-work experience for employees, ensuring they receive necessary support and resources.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., human resources, social work, business administration).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in case management, human resources, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with discretion.
