Job Summary
The Accounts Receivable Team Lead will play a key role in establishing consistent global processes and procedures that support efficient billing and collections.
As a mentor and trainer to AR team members, you will be responsible for ensuring that the team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
You will partner with key members of the Dwellworks Costa Rica Ltd. team, such as operations, sales, and finance to identify improvements and refine processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor global accounts receivable balances and take action to reduce or prevent past due balances.
- Review cash postings and collections activities for opportunities to improve team performance and achievement of metrics.
- Work towards establishing consistent billing practices globally and streamline processes.
- Train and mentor staff members in the department, local as well as remote.
- Establish professional customer relationships to support collections and dispute resolution efforts.
- Identify problem accounts and work with customers to resolve root causes.
- Provide timely follow-up on customer inquiries and payment arrangements.
- Participate in special projects as assigned and contribute to the continuous improvement culture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, sales, and finance) to identify improvements and refine the company's quote to cash process.
- Back up Accounts Receivable Associates and assist with complex account reconciliation.
Requirements
- Understanding of VAT and other global indirect taxes.
- 3-5 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to take initiative, lead, and motivate a team.
- Experience with Netsuite (preferred), Excel, Word, Outlook.
