Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for executing Accounting Operations activities in a timely and accurate manner as defined by their superior. They will ensure data quality and SAP system setup align with group standards and divisional requirements, while also meeting local business steering needs.

The responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Legal Entities' PA/IV topics, such as verifying process order settlement results and following up on variances in production orders and purchase prices.
  • Informing the Global Owner of errors and initiating correction procedures.
  • Checking and adjusting tariffs and activity prices.
  • Obtaining and entering start-up and downtime costs, defining normal capacity, and splitting fixed and variable costs.
  • Identifying net realizable value.
  • Verifying PC closing results and providing business insights.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A university degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in General Accounting, Product Costing, Financial Analysis, or similar fields.
  • Advanced English language skills (written and oral).
  • Skillfulness in SAP ERP FI/CO module with a good understanding of interfaces with other modules.
  • Fundamental knowledge of global accounting and controlling processes and their intersection with other business processes.
  • Profound knowledge of subgroup value flows and controlling logic.
  • Good communication skills and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Certification as a Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Bayer Group accounting and reporting requirements, particularly PA/IV and/or VFM in accordance with the Bayer Cost Accounting Directive.
