The Financial Reporting Analyst will play a key role in supporting the Banamex Divestiture Project by providing financial reporting needs for the Balance Sheet segregation process. This role will work independently to resolve complex problems and integrate in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare numerous reports for the legal vehicles that will be divested.
- Review and examine key controls for accounting reporting processes within the activities handled.
- Assist in the management of one or more processes, reports, procedures or products.
- Take responsibility for the accurate reporting of accounting reconciliations on Citi reporting tools.
- Identify and resolve problems using independent judgment for assigned products/business.
- Implement work flow or process change and redesign based on a strong basic understanding of the specific product/business/function.
- Articulate own process along with its key controls and support reasoning with appropriate evidence in assigned area of work.
- Identify and appropriately highlight/escalate potential issues relating to accounts with stakeholders such as Regional Balance Sheet control group/Country controllers, FP&A organization.
- Utilize understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have an impact on own area.
- Apply understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing objectives.
- Provide guidance to new or lower level analysts.
- Directly impact the business by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others; impact own team and closely related work teams.
- Able to manage large volumes of data using different tools (Data-mining).

Qualifications:

- 2-5 years of experience in accounting management with commensurate stakeholder management experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong use of tools to handle large volumes of financial data
- Intermediate English
- Advanced Excel

Education:

- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
